We invite teachers to cooperate with ACE

We offer a competitive rate

The rate is negotiated individually and depends on your experience, qualification, linguistic and pedagogical skills

You set your own schedule

You define the days and hours you would like to work, and we will offer you work within that framework.

No minimum workload

Also there is no maximum workload. You can work as much as you want. You can teach individual students and groups at schedule that is convenient for you.

Teaching children is entirely optional

If you want to work with children – great. If not, that's fine too. As most of our students are adults, we will be able to offer you suitable students in any case.

Contracting as self-employed or employee

Additionally, upon your request, official employment (contract) is possible after 4 months of work, provided you have a stable, high workload (from 30 academic hours per week).

You can work in-person or online

Even better is to combine both formats. In such cases, we can offer more students (individual learners, groups).

How to start working with us?

We invite teachers to cooperate with ACE
  • Email us at pr@acecorp.ru

Attach a cover letter and your resume. Also, indicate your desired rate per 1 academic hour (45 min) and the format you are willing to work in (in-person, online, or both).

  • Attach a short video introduction about yourself in English

This is mandatory; applications without a video will not be considered. There are no strict requirements for the video – you can just make a selfie video using your smartphone. This helps us get to know you better. Preferable duration: from 40 seconds to 2 minutes. And please, don't read a prepared text from a sheet of paper or off the screen — it's always noticeable and looks awkward.

  • Please wait, we will contact you

If you have trouble attaching the video due to file size, try uploading it to cloud storage or any video hosting (like Youtube, VK, Rutube etc.) and sending the link.

If you encounter difficulties, please email us and directly mention that you have a problem with sending a video. We’ll provide you with a phone number and you’ll be able to send it via WhatsApp ot Telegram

Answers to frequently asked questions

Will there be onboarding?

Yes, and it will take place in 3 stages:

  1. You will be connected with the accounting department to sign the contract.

  2. Your supervising manager will conduct onboarding for the organizational part and will stay in touch with you to resolve any issues.

  3. You will have an online Zoom meeting with our senior teacher. He will conduct onboarding for the academic part of the work. Afterwards, he will also remain available for you to contact with any academic questions.

How is the salary paid?

Payments are made per individual project, including both groups and individual students. You need to accumulate 12 academic hours per project before you can request payment. You receive payment for each request within 10 working days from the date the request is submitted.

Here’s how it works: you conducted several lessons with a group => accumulated 12 academic hours => requested salary via the form on the website => received payment within 10 working days.

You can submit multiple payment requests at once on the website. It is also possible to accumulate not just 12, but for example 24 academic hours or any amount divisible by 12. However, we recommend at the start of work to request payment for every 12 academic hours for each project immediately after they are completed, to avoid a large delay between starting work and receiving payment.

Can i work online only?

Yes, it is possible. However, we can offer more students if you combine both in-person and online work. At least 50% of all our students study in-person.

Is there a minimum workload?

There is no minimum or maximum workload, and no restrictions on schedule. However, there is one rule: if you take on a student or group, that is a commitment, and you must work with that student according to the agreed schedule for the entire period paid by the student (usually from 1 to 4 months).

What schedule will I work on?

You set your own schedule. Any days of the week and times are possible; just specify your available time slots.

You can also work on Saturdays and Sundays (if you wish). There are 2 possible ways how to do it:

  • In-person and online work, which allows us to offer you both individual students and groups (on weekends, in-person groups attend in 3 shifts from 10:00 to 17:15, each lasting 3 academic hours with a 15-minute break between).

  • Online work only, which allows offering only individual students.

How many lessons per week/per month I will have?

Your workload depends on multiple factors: your schedule (number of available slots and days), your work format (combining in-person and online work provides the most opportunities), and your performance.

Typically, we start you with a couple of projects (individual student or group) and managers monitor results—how successful the trial lesson was, student satisfaction, etc. New teachers receive extra attention initially.

The main KPI is that our students are satisfied and achieve their goals. If you help managers achieve this, they will offer you more and more students.

With many free slots and good results, you can reach a full-time workload (30-40 academic hours per week or more) about 1.5 months after starting work and maintain it for years.

What is the policy regarding lessons cancellations?

Cancellations by students in groups do not affect you; the lessons continue as planned.

It is different with individual students. We have specific rules for them: up to 2 cancellations per month and one extended freeze of up to 2 weeks once per the whole course. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the lesson.

Students don’t always follow this, and managers handle each case individually. If there is a valid emergency reason, the manager may approve the cancellation and not count the lesson as an exception (with the teacher’s agreement). Usually, 1-2 such exceptions are allowed if you have good relations with the student and they don’t abuse the policy.

If you have already come to the school (or even went out for it) and we find out that the student canceled — the lesson counts, and you will get paid. The same applies if you have already joined Zoom and the student cancels.

What is the policy regarding vacations?

Payment is on a per-lesson basis, so vacations are unpaid. You must notify managers of any vacation at least 2 weeks in advance, preferably 1 month.

During your vacation, another teacher will substitute for you, and you will return to your students afterward.

Are demo lessons paid?

Demo lessons are not paid. We try to keep them short (20-30 minutes) and in 90% of cases conduct them online.

Students attend these lessons already warmed up, after talks with our managers, where they discussed all the details are agreed with our prices and conditions. And they just want to meet the teacher.

About 85% of demo lessons result in paid classes and enrollment.

How are online lessons conducted?

The video conferencing client is Zoom. We also have an online platform with all General English learning materials.

You will be able to use the platform during lessons. An overview of the platform will be provided during academic onboarding.
